Adbri – documenting a major upgrade to the Birkenhead Plant
Adelaide Brighton Cement’s manufacturing facility at Birkenhead, South Australia is known for the quality cement it produces helping to build a better Australia. Essential to this, is having a well-maintained plant that is not only efficient but has the highest performing environmental controls. The 2021 annual shutdown was longer than usual and spanned 40 days to undertake maintenance, replace major sections of the kiln’s shell and install a tertiary air system.
Alpha State were invited to document this enormous undertaking which included multiple film production days combined with leading edge time lapse video production. Special thanks to the crew at 2OC for the assistance throughout this shoot.
